Guitars signed by artists and celebrities like James Taylor, Eddie Money and Patrick Kane are set to be auctioned to help support Music is Art, a local charity that helps support music in Western New York.

"Every penny we make from this event at Chef's Friday night goes directly to buy instruments for kids who can't afford them," explained Donald Raiser, a Music is Art board member. "We help improve their lives and the lives of their family."

The event takes place Friday, August 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Chef's Restaurant in Buffalo. Tickets cost $45 and are available here. The ticket includes a Chef's buffet, beer, wine and entertainment.

Also being auctioned off is a helicopter ride to the August 12th Goo Goo Dolls concert at Darien Lake with backstage passes to the show.

This year's fundraiser will feature music from the French Quarter Hounds, Dead Flowers, DJ Donny Raiser, DJ Paul Fox and dancers from Stacy Zawadzki Performing Arts Center and Terrie George's Dance Theatrics.

Some of the other big autographs for this year's event include Todd Rundgren, Skrillex, Eddie Money, Lou Graham and Dennis DeYoung.
