Leah Lee is back to being a typical two-year-old after a traumatic eight months.

It was July 25 when Indaysha Chambers got the call that her daughter was in the hospital, burned on her head, neck and back. Leah was being watched by her 19-year-old stepmother at the time, Natajua Lee. Chambers says Leah was burned while in the bathtub by scalding water.

Lee was recently arrested for second degree assault. She waived her right to a felony hearing, Tuesday.

Chambers says Leah is still feeling the effects of her burns.

"It's more of a mental thing she'll still say my back hurts even though I know it doesn't," said Chambers. "A baby was burned, my baby was burned."

"She could have died," Chambers continued. "She was in the trauma unit of Children's Hospital."

To the person she says did this, Chambers has this to say.

"I feel nothing for you. I don't have mercy. I hope you get all the time you deserve in jail. You're sick."
