A 57-year-old man is dead after an accident at a construction scene in Lewiston.
Police, along with Lewiston firefighters, responded to 140 N. 6th Street around 2 p.m. for the report of a man trapped on a lift.
Investigators say the man became pinned between the lift and the eaves area of the building. He then lost consciousness and stopped breathing, according to police.
Firefighters and Mercy Flight assisted in life-saving efforts, but the man was declared dead at the scene.
Police say the incident was accidental and no criminal charges are expected to be filed.
