A man in Ellicottville tried to cash out at Tops with fake money.
According to Ellicottville Police Chief Don Auge, the cashier caught the words "Motion Picture Use Only" on the back of the bill. The customer ended up paying with real money and left with the fake bill.
Police say they caught him later, arresting him and taking the bill from him.
According to Auge, this fake movie money can be bought online in large quantities for an inexpensive price.
So far this is the "first and only" incident the Ellicottville Police Department says it has seen.
