No one hurt in Allegany house explosion

ALLEGANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — An explosion destroyed a home in Cattaraugus County on Monday, according to the fire department.

The Allegany Fire Department reports the explosion happened around 9:45 a.m. on West Branch Road in the Town of Allegany.

Officials say no injuries were reported in the explosion. A dog was in the home at the time, but was not hurt.

New York State Police assisted with the incident.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, but it is believed to be related to a gas leak.
