A Buffalo woman now admits she used her east side apartment as a home base for a prostitution ring.

Tempestt Finch, 29, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of promoting prostitution in the third degree. Christopher Jones, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Prosecutors say Finch and Jones operated a prostitution business out of Finch's apartment on Andover Avenue. Police became aware after an hours-long standoff at Finch's apartment that unfolded after one of the women Finch was promoting tried to leave but was confronted by Finch and Jones. Police later recovered an AK-47 rifle used by Jones while helping Finch run the prostitution ring.

Investigators also found a paper trail that connected Finch to dozens of online advertisements seeking customers for the women prosecutors say she exploited.

Finch and Jones each face up to seven years in prison when they are sentenced on July 7.
