Some of the workers laid off by Solarcity subcontractors are back on the job.

More than 200 contractors were forced to lay-off workers because of late payments from Empire State Development.

On Monday, Empire State Development spokesman Jason Conwall and State University of New York Polytechnic Institute spokesman Jerry Gretzinger issued the following statement regarding the status of the Riverbend project in Buffalo, New York.

“The state is processing $82 million in payments for Riverbend, which is slated to be delivered to SUNY Poly and disbursed as soon as tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1, 2016. All stakeholders have been alerted and this action will bring payments current. The project is slated to open on time and on schedule in the Third Quarter of 2017.”
