Jamestown Police are looking for the person or people responsible for starting a slew of fires in the area.

Jamestown Police are investigating to find the arsonist(s) who is targeting vacant and condemned homes.

Investigators say the fires began early this year and have been tracked up until this weekend.

According to officials, from Friday night into Saturday morning, five separate arson fires occurred. Police say a total of 11 fires since the beginning of January are being investigated for arson. According to officers, these fires all involve vacant and condemned buildings.

Police believe one suspect is responsible for most of the arsons, but it is possible that others are involved. The department is asking for the public's help in identifying this person or people.

The particular video shared by police is from a fire at 650 East 6th Street that happened on Friday, March 24 at 11:05 p.m. The video shows a person walking out from the back of the home and then down the street towards Winsor Street. The person then walks up Winsor Street. The video is edited to show the minutes when the building is completely engulfed in flames.

The suspect appears to have a thin build and is wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
