A 68-year-old hunter has died after falling from a tree stand in the Town of Royalton.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened in a wooded area near the 4500 block of Royalton Center Road around 9 a.m.
When first responders arrived, they located the man unresponsive at the base of the tree stand.
Crews attempt to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say it appears the man may have suffered from a medical emergency while in the tree stand and then fell.
The incident remains under investigation.
The victim's name will not be released until family is notified.
