"When you are put in a predicament like that where you can't get to what your child needs....the feeling is so overwhelming," said Jennifer Sugg.

Nine year-old Angelina Sugg suffers from severe cerebral palsy, diabetes and epilepsy. The young girl heavily relies on her medication, and during the November storm her family was snowed in at their Hamburg home, unable to make it to the drug store for refills.

"I'm a fighter," said Jennifer Sugg, Angelina's mom. "I fight for everything for Angelina, but during the storm I felt helpless."

Knowing she couldn't wait any longer, Jennifer dialed 911 and explained her emergency to dispatchers at the Hamburg Police Department. About an hour later, the family heard a knock on the door.

"Officer Bloom knocked at our door and just said 'here's Angelina's meds," said Sugg. "I invited him in to take a photo with her."

The family says they will never forget the kindness displayed to them that day.

"It meant a lot to me, for someone to care about the life of my child." said Jennifer. "There were so many people behind the scene's helping too. I am forever grateful."
