Meet Diamonte, the Peregrine from the Central Terminal.

The falcon was rescued by an SPCA agent of Erie County on Monday after someone found him injured on the ground.

The SPCA and Department of Environmental Conservation believe another pair is moving into his and his mate Gleig's territory.

Diamonte was attacked and has a broken arm and a cut on his neck. The SPCA's wildlife veterinarian stitched up the cut and wrapped the wing and is recovering well.

The Department of Environmental Conservation will consider Diamonte's options, but for now he is safe.

Peregrine Falcons are endangered species in New York State.
