DialAmerica is closing its doors in Western New York. The company is closing the Amherst call center in March, wiping out 120 jobs.

DialAmerica has operated in Amherst since 1988 but says the recent loss of healthcare clients forced the company to reduce operations.

"Due to the decrease in work at the end of this period, in addition to one of our clients moving work offshore, there is a negative impact to the business need in a few of our locations," said Norine Toomey, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

DialAmerica will also close an office in Greenville, South Carolina.

The move comes just a year after DialAmerica announced it had 125 job openings in Buffalo.
