A Buffalo Water Authority crew worked throughout the overnight hours to repair a water main break on Dearborn Street.
The break was reported around 11 p.m. Thursday on Dearborn Street near Hertel Avenue.
Workers said the break involved an 8-inch main. It was connected to a 12-inch main on Hertel Avenue which caused a large amount of water under pressure to be released onto Dearborn and surrounding streets.
A truck parked on the street near the break was sunk to its axles and had to be towed out before work could be completed.
