In many ways, Sebastian Bradley is your typical 7-year-old boy.

"I like reading, math and playing with Legos," Bradley told 7 Eyewitness News Reporter Rachel Elzufon.

However, the second grader is facing a battle well beyond his years.

"At the beginning, I thought our worst nightmare was going to be migraines," Sebastian's mother, Elizabeth Bradley, said.

However, one and a half months ago, the pain in his head spread to Sebastian's eyes. He went to the emergency room, where doctors found a cancerous brain tumor.

"It was like hitting us with the biggest punch in our faces," Elizabeth remembered.

Sebastian has had five surgeries since his diagnosis -- four in his head. He has spent many nights at Women and Children's Hospital, and has been undergoing radiation at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Next, Sebastian will go through chemotherapy. His parents want to look into trial treatments as well.

"He's a strong little boy," Elizabeth said.

The community has rallied around the Sebastian.

"Everyday, we just can't think of enough ways to thank people for all the help we've been getting," said Sebastian's father, Shane Bradley.

Shane and Elizabeth's place of employment, Geico, have already raised $20,000 for the family.

Sebastian's principal and teacher at Forest Elementary have stopped by multiple times to see the second grader.

The little boy has received bins of toys, crayons and Legos.

Now, Forest Elementary is changing its annual Run Forest Run 5K, the school's biggest fundraiser. Money usually goes to the Parent Teacher Association.

This year, community members will honor Sebastian. Money will go to help his family.

"We do feel very lucky," Elizabeth said, "because we're not doing it alone."

The 3rd Annual Run Forest Run will take place Saturday, April 16th at Forest Elementary School at 250 North Forest in Williamsville.
