A construction worker was injured Friday morning after falling and hitting a crane at the new Children's Hospital site.
According to a spokesperson from OSHA, a male iron worker fell from a platform while he was working. He was wearing a protective harness that was tied off, which protected him from falling further, but he may have hit something in the process when he fell.
According to the Buffalo Fire Department, the worker suffered "shock-like" symptoms after hitting a crane and was being checked out by an ambulance.
The man was taken to ECMC but OSHA says he will be okay.
A compliance officer is on scene investigating the incident.
