A Buffalo man stands accused of ramming his vehicle into the gates of Buffalo's FBI office.

Prosecutors say 35-year-old Robert Lowe crashed his SUV into the gate on Mohawk Street. They say he then backed up from the gate and drove around the perimeter at a high rate of speed, later ramming into the perimeter gate on Staats Street twice.

According to federal prosecutors, Lowe entered the parking lot after the gate gave way, driving in circles before ramming into the outbound lane perimeter gate.

Buffalo Police arrested Low after he drove out of the parking lot through Staats Street and was stopped at Chippewa Street and Elmwood Avenue.

The estimated value of the damaged security gates is in excess of $50,000.

Low is charged by criminal complaint with Depredation of Government Property. The charge carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $1,000 fine.
