41-year-old Anthony DiFilippo was sentenced to 6 months in Niagara County Jail and 5 years probation for the 2014 death of 16-year-old Ryan Fischer.

The Honorable Judge Richard Klock sentenced DiFilippo in front of both his and Fischer's family, nearly two years after Fisher was hit and killed by DiFillipo's car, while walking along Krueger Road in the Town of Wheatfield.

Both the defense and prosecution opened by saying, DiFilippo's choices were dishonorable, however maintained that he is a good man who made a poor decision, which he will live with forever.

DiFilippo's sentence starts effective immediately. His probation will follow, during which time he will not be allowed to drive a vehicle nor apply for a driver's license and will be confined to his home with minor exceptions, to be decided upon by the judge.
