Ten years ago, Jonathon Cote, a US Army Airborne Iraq/Afghanistan War Veteran was kidnapped in Iraq while working as a security contractor.

He, and the four others he was kidnapped with, were held for 17 months before their bodies were returned home to their families.

Every year his family holds a memorial motorcycle run and after party/benefit in Jonathon's memory. Sunday marked the 8th year for the event.

The money raised goes to a $1,000 scholarship in Jon's name at Williamsville North High School, with the rest of it being donated to WNYHeroes, a non-profit that helps local veterans and their families.
