A country divided, something that customers at Founding Fathers Pub in Buffalo are seeing.

"It's time to get uncomfortable and actually take a good look at ourselves and start addressing these issues and stop ignoring things just because they don't effect you personally" Daniel Seiders, a customer at Founding Fathers said.

Due to the recent string of National Anthem protests going on in the NFL, the point of acceptance has been at the front of many peoples' minds.

"It needs to be addressed I mean honestly the nation is so divided all the time it's unreal" Brett Smith, another customer at the pub said.

Many of those that 7 Eyewitness News spoke with at Founding Fathers believed a large issue within the country right now has to do with the lack of respect for other's opinions.

"You know everything sparks controversy," Luke Stewart said, "We were founded on the principles that everyone has a right to their own opinion and they should be able to fight to say it."

The hope from some at Founding Fathers is to have the divisiveness lead to one thing.

"(We need to) address some issues," Smith said, "and push towards a common goal of unity."
