AARP Foundation Experience Corps is an intergenerational volunteer-based tutoring program that is proven to help children who aren’t reading at grade level become great readers by the end of 3rd Grade.

Experience Corps is a vehicle to inspire and empower adults, 50 and older, to serve in their community and disrupt the cycle of poverty by making a lasting difference in the lives of America’s most vulnerable children.

Read to Succeed Buffalo was one of five communities nationally to be awarded an AARP Foundation Experience Corps Expansion Grant in 2016.  This grant was made possible through a collaboration with the Corporation for National & Community Service Social Innovation Fund.

Social Innovation Fund is a federal investment, created to help scale up promising local practices to a national scale, increasing positive impact of proven practices.
