Galbani® Italian Heritage Festival

Mark Sciortino, from Marco’s Retaurant is Linda’s guest and he is here to tell us about this year’s Galbani® Italian Festival. 

The festival will be at Buffalo’s Outer Harbor from July 13th – 16th.  

Friday is Channel 7 Day.  Make sure to stop by our booth and say hello.

The family-friendly festival, which celebrates 30 years of authentic food, lively music, and entertaining cultural traditions will be held daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m..

Daily activities include Bocce ball Tournaments, Italian Idol, and Miss Italian Festival, as well as cultural heritage activities, cooking demonstrations, local entertainment, crafts, activities for kids, grape stomping contests, Sicilian puppet shows, an Italian car show, a Ducati motorcycle show, and more.

Event highlights also include a Celebrity Cheese Building Contest for Charity on Sunday July 16 at 2 p.m. and a live performance by Sal Valentinetti, a finalist on “America’s Got Talent,” Season 11 on Saturday, July 15 at 8:30 p.m.

New this year, Galbani® cheese partners with JVMP Food Sculpture to create a 3ft. replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa made of Galbani® Mozzarella, String Cheese, and Ricotta cheeses.

Attendees are invited to watch the iconic structure evolve over the course of the four days and stop by the Galbani® tent Sunday afternoon to take photos of the final masterpiece.

Daily ticket prices for the festival are $5 per person; $2 for seniors 62 and older with ID; and free for Veterans with ID and children 12 and younger.

Also, new this year, a special Festival Weekend Pass is available for $15.

Admission will be free to the festival on Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
