Sunny and warm with the thermometer warming up to 70F on Sunday... Sound good? After a rough start to the month of April, it's safe to say we earned this nice stretch of weather heading our way for the upcoming weekend!

Boots, hats, and gloves can all go back into storage. The snow-blower and shovels will be buried towards the back of the garage. Ready up the lawnmower and get out the brushes to re-paint those fences. Let the spring cleaning commence!

The culprit for this glorious forecast: a blocking pattern in the jetstream that gives us high pressure to the Great Lakes and stormy weather off to our west. Yes, that's right. Not everybody is going to be as lucky as Western New York.

Denver, for example will be dealing with the snow and cold this weekend. It's starts off mild with thunderstorms on Friday. But it's all down hill for you folks. Saturday and Sunday the flakes fly in the Mile-High City. You folks could see 8-12" of snow when all is set and done, with the mountains seeing even more than that.

Temperature will drop 10-20F  below average from the Dakotas all the way down to the Mexican Border leaving behind a trail of white over the Rocky Mountains.

Large hail, gusty winds and isolated tornadoes are expected to rip through parts of Western Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas on Friday and Saturday.

The warm weather didn't leave Florida. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s for the sunshine state, but not necessarily the sunshine. Residents in Jacksonville and Palm Beach will be trading the sunglasses for the umbrellas Friday and Saturday.

But for Buffalo, our forecast is looking bright and sunny right through Sunday.
