The Section VI Division-I wrestling championships were held Saturday at North Tonawanda High School and several wrestlers punched their tickets to the State Tournament.

Below is a list of first place matches and winners sent in by Izzy Martinez of Niagara Falls schools.

 

99 lb.

  • Niagara Wheatfield's Colin Coughenour won by an 11-5 decision over Brian Bielec of Grand Island

106 lb.

  • North Tonawanda's Ty Bartolomei won by a 4-0 decision over Jake Harry of Lancaster

113 lb.

  • Lancaster's Parker Rozler won by a 3-2 decision over Cody Pool of Jamestown

120 lb.

  • Clarence's Aiden Rabideau won by disqualification over Yasser Esaleh of Sweet Home

126 lb.

  • Niagara Wheatfield's Justin McDougald won by a 13-0 major decision over Anthony Corigliano of Clarence

132 lb.

  • Niagara Falls' Willie McDougald won by technical fall over Josh McCoy of Niagara Falls

138 lb.

  • Williamsville North's Vinny Catanzaro won by a 4-3 decision over Jacob Dewolf of Niagara Falls

  • Niagara Wheatfield's Warren McDougald won by a 12-4 major decision over Seth MacTavish of Jamestown
