After suffering their first loss of the season a week ago, the UB Bulls wasted no time getting back on track, picking up a 34-24 win over Central Michigan on Saturday for their second win in Conference play.

The Bulls are now 5-1 overall and move one win away from becoming bowl eligible for the second straight season. They're also off to their best start since 1996.

QB Tyree Jackson didn't have the greatest day in the air but that was okay as the run game took over. Jaret Patterson and Kevin Marks each carried the ball 18 times for a combined 288 yards and two touchdowns. The Bulls offense had 307 total rushing yards on the day.

The Bulls defense picked up four big interceptions, a season-best, while senior LB Khalil Hodge racked up seven tackles.

UB returns home next weekend when they host Akron. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at UB Stadium.
