Bulls enter MAC schedule ranked 20th in latest AP Poll

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — As the UB men's basketball team gets ready for conference play, the Bulls have moved up a spot in the latest AP Poll. The Bulls are currently ranked 20th, up a spot from last week.

UB is 12-1 on the season, their best start since the 1962-1963 season. Their record includes wins over Syracuse and then ranked West Virginia. Their lone loss is to nationally ranked Marquette who came in at no. 16 in the rankings released on Monday.

A trio of seniors are leading the Bulls in points and rebounds per game. CJ Massinburg leads the way with an average of 18.3 points and 6.9 rebounds. Jeremy Harris is averaging 14.1 points and 5.5 rebounds while Nick Perkins comes in at 13.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

The Bulls open up Mid-American Conference play on Friday, January 4th when they travel to Eastern Michigan. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m.
