The offseason is flying by, and the 2016 NFL Draft is now in view. In less than a month, the Buffalo Bills and the rest of the league will add college players, in the hopes of improving their rosters well enough to make it to the postseason.
For the Bills, it's a vital draft, considering their hands were tied for much of free agency due to a lack of salary cap room. In total, the Bills will get eight selections through the draft -- five of which are in the first four rounds.
A look at the first two rounds, and how they could shake out for the Bills:
Round One
1) 
- OT Laremy Tunsil, Ole Miss
- It seems like the Titans are doing two things: trying to build a market for the top overall pick, and trying to show that they're legitimately interested in Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey to try and drum up interest even more in him. I'm not buying it. The Titans want to protect Marcus Mariota at all costs, and Tunsil fits the mold.
2) 
? - QB Carson Wentz, North Dakota State
- Here's another case of a team trying to convince those that they're not going to take a quarterback at second overall, probably just to ensure that they get the quarterback they want. Sure, Robert Griffin III is there. That just buys them more time to develop the second overall pick, which in this case, is Carson Wentz.
3) 
? - OT Ronnie Stanley, Notre Dame
- A bit of a surprise pick here, but the Chargers have had offensive line problems for years. Now they're in a good enough position to address it significantly, and get Stanley to come in and start immediately at left tackle.
4) 
? - QB Jared Goff, Cal
- For the Dallas Cowboys, they are presented with an opportunity. In their minds, they don't think they'll be drafting anywhere near this range in the near future, so they can find a long-term replacement to groom with Tony Romo, and still have a talented roster to push for a division crown in 2016.
5) 
- CB/S Jalen Ramsey, Florida State
- The time to win is now for Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley. General manager David Caldwell has set the table with an extremely talented roster, and they play in a division that should be up for grabs in 2016. Ramsey would be an impact player that they sorely need in the defensive backfield, and can do a little bit of everything.
6) 
? - LB Myles Jack, UCLA
- His position isn't specified because with Baltimore, Jack would line up both inside and outside -- having the skill-set to do both. A super athletic linebacker, he'll be an impact starter for the Ravens.
7) **TRADE 
? - QB Paxton Lynch, Memphis
- Buzz for Paxton Lynch is building, and the Rams can't be of right mind when thinking that Case Keenum is a good starting option for 2016. With two second-round picks in their back pocket, a big move wouldn't harm them too much. Besides, getting the opportunity to prevent Philadelphia from getting a quarterback, and getting the Eagles original second-round pick might just be too sweet for Chip Kelly to pass up. I'm kidding... I think.
Trade Details: St. Louis gets 7th overall. San Francisco gets 15th overall, 43rd overall
8) 
(from MIA) - HB Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State
- It's becoming a trendy landing spot for Elliott, but it makes a lot of sense for both sides. Elliott would become the unquestioned starter the moment he gets selected.
9) **TRADE 
(from TB) - DL DeForest Buckner, Oregon
- With DeForest Buckner sliding down the Top 10, the Bears pounce on what can be a staple of their brand new 3-4 defensive scheme. Buckner fits right into the role of a starting five-technique defensive end.
Trade Details: Chicago gets 9th overall, 108th overall, 148th overall. Tampa Bay gets 11th overall, 72nd overall
10) 
- DE Joey Bosa, Ohio State
- A more natural fit within the 4-3 defense, the Giants could plug Bosa into the right defensive end spot and use him in a rotation with Olivier Vernon and Jason Pierre-Paul, to once again make them one of the most feared defensive lines in the NFL again.
11)

- The Dolphins desperately need help at cornerback, with recent addition Byron Maxwell having not performed all that well for the Eagles in 2015.

- Chip Kelly likes to stretch the field, and with Coleman's 4.3-speed, he would be quite the asset to Colin Kaepernick.
16)

(from ATL) - DE/OLB Noah Spence, Eastern Kentucky
- In desperate need for a pass rusher, the Jets move past two teams that need a pass rusher and take a chance on Noah Spence. He could end up being one of the steals of the draft.
Trade Details: New York Jets get 17th overall, 115th overall. Atlanta gets 20th overall, 83rd overall
18) 
- DE/OLB Kevin Dodd, Clemson
19) 
- LB Darron Lee, Ohio State
- While I don't necessarily agree with this selection, inside linebacker is likely the position with most desperate crying need for help. Lee would slot right into the weakside inside linebacker position, stay on the field all three downs, and theoretically have the ability to cover the tight end. Even though the value of a linebacker isn't as strong as a pass rusher or a defensive lineman, with who is available to the Bills at this point in the draft, a case can be made to select him. And, the writing is certainly on the wall: the Bills are bringing in multiple linebackers for a pre-draft visit that are thought of as a first or second round pick.
20) 
(from NYJ) - DL Sheldon Rankins, Louisville
- Atlanta goes with the best player available here, and Rankins can help them at both the right defensive end spot and along the interior. The Falcons could use a suitable starter next to Jonathan Babineaux.
21) 
- NT Andrew Billings, Baylor

- WR Josh Doctson, TCU
24) 
- DT Jarran Reed, Alabama
- The Bengals go for both the best available and they fill a need in the meantime. Reed can play a two-down role next to Geno Atkins and help continue the dominant defensive line they've set up over the last few years.

- The recent retiring of Hussain Abdullah makes safety a big need for the Chiefs. They have Eric Berry back on his franchise tag, but that's it.

- LB Jaylon Smith, Notre Dame
- Smith could wind up being a Day 3 pick, but, if one team believes in his medical report and his ability to come back from the knee injury at the end of the season, he'll get an early look. Getting drafted by the Panthers, Smith wouldn't be hurried out of rehab and into the starting lineup because of Thomas Davis. However, Davis is 33 years old and has a ridiculously high cap number in the 2017 season. The Panthers would have to reach on an offensive tackle here, so instead, they take a chance on talent.
31) 
- QB Connor Cook, Michigan State
- The Broncos probably hoped that Paxton Lynch would be available at 31, but, quarterbacks with a first-round grade don't primarily last too long. Cook has an NFL skill-set, but needs to be brought along slowly. The trouble is, he might not have that time to grow in Denver.
Round Two
32) - WR Michael Thomas, Ohio State
- The best part about needing basically everything is that you won't feel conflicted with the need vs. talent debate in the draft. That's about it, though. This rebuild is reminiscent to the one the Jaguars went through a few years ago -- wipe the whole roster clean, and start over.
33) - CB Eli Apple, Ohio State
34) - CB Mackensie Alexander, Clemson
35) - DE Robert Nkemdiche, Ole Miss
- Best suited to be a five-technique defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, Nkemdiche falls out of the first round, but falls into a situation where he can play right away.
36) - WR Will Fuller, Notre Dame
37) - C Ryan Kelly, Alabama
38) - DE Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State
39) - S Vonn Bell, Ohio State
40) - HB Derrick Henry, Alabama
- Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams should merely be speed bumps for Henry to elevate to the starting back, while Shane Vereen will continue on with his third-down duties.
41) - OT Jason Spriggs, Indiana
42) - OT/G Germain Ifedi, Texas A&M

44) - S Keanu Neal, Florida
45) - CB Kendall Fuller, Virginia Tech

- While he isn't extremely polished at this point, it's hard to ignore Butler when he's on the field. At 6-foot-4 and 323-pounds, Butler has the length to properly play five-technique in Rex Ryan's system. He is a borderline first-round talent, that will likely land in the second round of the draft. Butler is a good athlete for his size, but coming from a smaller school and conference, he's still learning at this point. He would be a tremendous fit for the defense, and could take over as a starter for Corbin Bryant as early as this season.
