The Buffalo Bills made a flurry of roster moves on Tuesday as they get ready for a game that could decide their playoff fate.

The team added some defensive depth to the lineup and officially ended a pro-bowler’s season.

The additions:  defensive tackle T.J. Barnes, defensive end Lavar Edwards and linebacker Kevin Reddick.

From the Bills press release:

The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed DT T.J. Barnes, DE Lavar Edwards and LB Kevin Reddick. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Barnes comes to Buffalo off of the New York Jets practice squad. The 6-7, 364-pound Georgia Tech product originally entered the league in 2013 as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Barnes has also spent time on the Jets 53-man roster during the past two seasons, appearing in 12 games while accumulating seven tackles, one pass defensed and one tackle for loss. Barnes, 25, is a native of Montgomery, Alabama.

Edwards joins the Bills off of the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. Edwards has spent time with the Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans since entering the league as a fifth round pick (142nd overall) in 2013 with the Titans. The 6-4, 275-pound LSU product has played in 12 career games, starting one, making 10 tackles, one pass defensed and one tackle for loss. Edwards, 25, is a native of Gretna, Louisiana.

Reddick joins the Bills 53-man roster after spending time on the team’s practice squad earlier in the season. The 6-1, 240 pound North Carolina product originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2013 with the New Orleans Saints. Reddick, who has spent time with the Saints, Carolina Panthers and San Diego Chargers, has played in 21 career games racking up 12 special teams tackles.

These moves come after the Bills lost a couple of defensive pieces during the loss to Kansas City. Defensive lineman Alex Carrington is gone for the season with a quadriceps injury. Linebacker Nigel Bradham hurt his ankle in KC. He’s not expected to play Sunday against Houston. Defensive end Mario Williams is also nursing a foot injury.

The Bills also officially ended Kyle Williams’ season, placing the pro-bowl defensive tackle on injured reserve.  Williams has been out of the lineup since hurting his knee October 18.

On the offensive side of the ball rookie running back Karlos Williams was spotted wearing a sling on Tuesday.  Williams hurt his shoulder during the loss to Kansas City.
