Bills sign 12 undrafted rookie free agents to three-year deals

The Buffalo Bills have signed twelve undrafted rookie free agents to three-year deals. The Bills announced the news on Friday ahead of the team's rookie minicamp.

 

The following players were signed:

1. DE Mat Boesen

  • Boesen played with the TCU Horned Frogs and last season, led the team in sacks. He also set a school record for number of sacks in a game when he recorded 5.5 against Baylor. 

2. T Ike Boettger

  • Boettger played with the Iowa Hawkeyes and was a versatile player during his junior season, starting at three different positions. He missed the majority of his senior season due to an Achilles injury.

3. CB Ryan Carter

  • Carter played with the Clemson Tigers and during his last season recorded 31 tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions and ten pass breakups.

4. K Tyler Davis

  • Davis played with the Penn State Nittany Lions and finished his career as the school record holder in career field goal percentage (79.6%). He's 7th all-time in school history for career field goals made.

5. G Gerhard de Beer

  • De Beer played with the Arizona Wildcats and actually joined the team after a successful track and field career. During his senior year, he played in all 12 games, starting nine at right tackle.

6. RB Keith Ford

  • Ford played with the Oklahoma Sooners and most recently the Texas A&M Aggies. During his final season, he compiled 493 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns along with 71 yards receiving.

7. WR Robert Foster

  • Foster played with the Alabama Crimson Tide and is very familiar with Bills OC Brian Daboll. During his final season he caught 11 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.

8. DE Mike Love

  •  Love played with the South Florida Bulls and during his senior season recorded 28 stops (11 for loss), 5.5 sacks, and three pass breakups.

9. WR Cam Phillips

  • Phillips played with the Virginia Tech Hokies and earned first-team All-ACC recognition as a senior. The rusher and special teams player recorded 71 receptions for 964 yards and seven scores in 12 starts last season.

10. T Mo Porter

  • Porter played two seasons with the Baylor Bears after transferring from Navarro Junior College.The former No. 1 junior college prospect in Texas finished his career with 25 career starts at left tackle. 

11. LB Corey Thompson

  • Thompson played with the LSU Tigers and was moved to the linebacker position last season. He started eight games and recorded 43 stops (seven for loss) and six sacks.

12. CB Levi Wallace

  • Wallace played with the Alabama Crimson Tide and went from a walk-on to a starter. He led the team with 15 pass breakups, 48 tackles, three interceptions and two sacks.
