After the recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office is announcing security at the remaining Buffalo Bills home games will be tighter than ever.

There will be an increased number of deputies, including K9 units, at Ralph Wilson Stadium, as well as plainclothes officers moving through the stadium and parking lots. Specialized security measures will also be deployed.

The sheriff’s office says vehicles entering the stadium parking lots could be subject to inspection.

Even with the increased security, officials are not expecting lengthy delays. They are reminding fans to arrive early and fans are strongly encouraged not to bring bags into the stadium.

If you are bringing a bag, remember is has to be made of clear PVC, plastic or vinyl and cannot be larger than 12” X 6” X 12”. Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4.5” X 6.5”) are also allowed

Bills officials say the bag policy will be strictly adhered to.

Both organizations are encouraging fans to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. You can call the Game Day Hotline at 716-312-8933 or text “BILLS<space>” followed by the location and issue to 69050.

If you’re outside of the stadium and see something suspicious, call 911.
