BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - It was the trade that took the NFL world by storm: the Bills and Eagles swapped one superstar for another, with Kiko Alonso shipping off to Philadelphia in exchange for LeSean McCoy.
The legend that began in the "Queen City" is continuing to grow in the "City of Brotherly Love."
Alonso was injured during the Eagles Week 2 loss to Dallas, and returned to action a little over a month ago. The injury was to the same knee that ended his season in 2014 with Buffalo after tearing his ACL during an offseason workout.
Still the former 2nd round pick's big play-making ability is on display on Sunday’s in Philadelphia. Alonso told reporters on Tuesday the trade took him by surprise but unlike Shady, he didn’t have this game circled on his calendar.
“You know, I go every week the same," Alonso said. "It's just another game. It'll be fun because I know all of those guys."
The Bills and Eagles hit the field Sunday at 1 p.m.
