Zumbathon raises money for Make-A-Wish

A mother-daughter duo will host Western New York's largest zumbathon Sunday which raises money for Make-A-Wish. 

"Doors open at 11 a.m. and the dancing begins at 2 p.m.," said Marisa Stani the daughter of Cindy Stani and zumba director. "It will be neon everything. From sneakers to t-shirts and we have 250 raffle baskets for everyone."

Marisa and Cindy started teaching zumba together six years ago and sine then they've taught national zumba classes. 

"I was always into fitness she was always into dancing," said Marisa's mom Cindy. "I brought her into a zumba class and it as history since then."

This is the fourth annual zumbathon event held at the Tonawanda Castle with all the proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish. 

"Over the past few years my mom and I have raised $100,000," said Marisa. "With that we've been able to grant five wishes."

Sunday the doors open at 11 a.m. and the largest zumba class around will start at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door.
