Orchard Parks brand new community center won't open until 2020, but that doesn't mean they are already looking to the future.

"What can be added onto it is an indoor pool, splash pad, and field house" Orchard Park Council Member Michael Sherry.

The current plan for the $16 million facility is to create a core meeting area, community space, senior center, and gym. The center will sit in Brush Mountain Park.

The facility will be build with available land to expand in the future if the first installment proves successful. According to Councilman Sherry, the plan for the facility is to give families a wholesome experience that hasn't been available yet in Orchard Park.

"The whole idea is to be able to literally bring entire families together, from toddlers all the way up to seniors."

Sherry says that the growing population of Orchard Park shows the need for a facility like this.

"We know what the projections are for Orchard Park moving forward. We're going to continue growing out in population. Every aspect of it."
