The new Chick-Fil-A expected to open on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga has a 'Premiere Night,' set for late November, said, Cassandra Sheedy, owner of the new franchise.

Debra Hammer, Office Manager at Muller Precision which sits directly behind the restaurant's new location, says the chicken chain will bring even more traffic to an already congested area with a mall, new restaurants and stores.

“They’re telling everybody to the the back roads instead of Walden because I think they’re assuming Walden is going to be busy," Hammer said. “I’m sure it’s going to be like Krispy Kreme opened, everybody was there all the time and then after six months, nine months, it died out a little bit so I’m sure it’s going to calm down.”

Assistant Chief Speyer of the Cheektowaga Police Department said they plan on meeting with a team from Chick-Fil-A soon to plan how to suppress the traffic.
