Winter taking a toll on Hawk Creek Wildlife Center

Damage from heavy November snow

EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) - This winter has taken a toll on nationally-recognized Hawk Creek Wildlife Center in East Aurora.

Sagging roofs and damaged cages have been repaired the best as they can be until the weather breaks. Much of the damage occurred during the Snowvember storm, but the bitter cold has continued to cause the wildlife center issues.

Hawk Creek is trying to raise money to help facilitate their move to a new location before next winter.
