Traffic will be impacted from Hamburg to Arkwright in Chautauqua County until June 12th.

Four wind turbine pieces will travel from a storage site on Route 5 in Hamburg and travel to a space in Arkwright every single weekday from April 17th through April 20th.

The pieces will travel more than 45 miles, accompanied by at least two New York State Troopers and a number of certified escort vehicles.

Closures will happen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. along parts of the route, including NY Route 5, NY Route 179 (Milestrip Road), McKinley Parkway, NY Route 391 and US Route 219 in Erie County, as well as US Route 219, NY Route 242, NY Route 394, Interstate 86, NY Route 60, US Route 20 and NY Route 39 in Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties.

Transports will leave at different times throughout the morning, meaning there can be multiple closures along the route at once, and the same closure can happen multiple times during the day.
