Millennials love their Uber and Lyft... literally!
According to a poll by Zogby Analytics, more than 50% of millennials have used a ride sharing service. And that trend isn't expected to slow down anytime soon.
One possible reason for why millennials love ride sharing companies may have to do with the experience itself. No one quite knows what kind of vehicle they are going to step into. The car and the experience is different just about every time.
Do you have change for a $10? Chances are, if you're a millennial, you don't carry cash. This is according to a poll released by creditcards.com. Close to 25 percent of millennials carry less than five dollars in their wallet every week. Uber and Lyft automatically store your credit card information in its app.
Millennials also use ride sharing companies as a safe alternative to a night on the town.
In fact, co-founder of Lyft says that most millennials won't own a vehicle within the next five years.
A recent poll released by Uber showed that most New York residents support ride sharing companies operating in the Empire State. So far this year, there has been little effort in the New York legislature to allow ride sharing companies to operate in Upstate New York.
