Our "What's going on with..." series continues with an update on a pair of projects in Hamburg and West Seneca.

7 Eyewitness News viewer Frances wrote to the station wondering what the large development project on Seneca Street in West Seneca was all about.

Anchor Jeff Russo went to the site to get some answers and found out that the project is called Ebenezer Square and is owned by Depaul Properties. It's a new 100-unit apartment building for income eligible tenants and will offer on-site case management support services for persons with mental health diagnosis.

The 103,000-square foot building sits on close to seven acres. It is expected to be completed by summer of next year. Depaul Properties says that over 50 full- and part-time positions are being created within the community.

Many people are also wondering "What's going on with..." the huge project near the Ford plant in Hamburg. The 32,000-square foot complex is the future home of a FedEx distribution center. It is part of the company's expansion to boost the package volume capacity of the FedEx ground network nationally.

The new building sits on 52 acres. FedEx says construction is expected to be completed by July of next year. FedEx says when operating at full capacity it is projected that almost 200 employees will work at the Hamburg Facility.
