UB receives highest rating ever against country's universities

University at Buffalo has ranked the highest it ever has among the nation's best public and national universities, according to U.S. News and World Report.

The university snagged a spot in the "top 50" public universities for the fifth year in a row. Last year, UB ranked at 41. This year, they moved up three spots to 38.

When comparing public and private universities, UB received its highest rating ever, taking the 89th spot.

In a release, UB made this statement:

“UB continues to develop innovative academic and academic support programs that meet the needs of students and society,” said Charles F. Zukoski, UB provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.
“Because of our excellent programs and faculty, we have significantly enhanced our students’ outcomes and continue to attract excellent new students to UB. We are gratified to receive national recognition for our programs and progress,” Zukoski said.
