A two year-old and a babysitter escaped a house fire, last Thursday afternoon, in the Town of Concord.

Erie County Sheriff's Office spokesman Scott Zylka released pictures and information, early Monday about the incident.

Deputies were responding to a house fire on Springville Boston Road, when one went inside and found smoke in the bathroom.  The deputy, identified as Deputy Grube, found fire right next to the bathtub.  The deputy used three bowls of water to put the fire out.

The babysitter and the two-year-old made it out of the house and were waiting for deputies to arrive.

Firefighters arrived and found a puppy inside the house.  They brought the puppy to safety.  Cats were also inside the house.  They escaped on their own.

Investigators believe the fire was caused by a candle that reignited and spread to some plastic toys.

Fire stayed in the bathroom.  There is no word on how much damage was done.
