Buffalo Police have identified 28-year-old Buffalo resident Faja Perry as the woman who was killed after a shooting on Chester Street near Woodlawn Avenue.
Buffalo police responded to the shooting just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning and found that two women had been shot.
The second victim, 31-year-old Simone Dixon, also of Buffalo, was treated at Erie County Medical Center and released.
Homicide detectives don't believe it was a random act because it happened inside someone's home.
Police are working to identify the shooter.
