A Tonawanda man who stole thousands of dollars from his church has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

Steven Brzezinski, 34, admits he received indecent images over Facebook Messenger from a 15 year-old. He was previously convicted of endangering the welfare of a child and was on probation at the time of his most recent arrest.

In 2015, Town of Tonawanda Police arrested Brzezinski on grand larceny charges. At the time, investigators said he stole more than $3,000 in cash donations to St. Amelia's. Brzezinski later admitted to stealing $8,000 over a span of 20 months.

He faces up to 20 years in prison on the child pornography charges when he is sentenced in February.
