If by now you are not over the fact that the bills will not be in the Superbowl, maybe this will make you feel better. Buffalo will be represented at the big game by two NFTA Transit Police officers.

It's an assignment that runs ten days for Officers David Capretto and Andre Taibbi as well as their four legged, highly trained partners "King" and "Holly".

Officer Taibbi says "it's a huge honor to go there and to be able to say that you'll be part of such a huge event." The officers and dogs have been called upon by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Chief George Gast says this is the third time members of the NFTA have been tapped for the Superbowl event, adding "they will be actively patrolling certain areas, checking for suspicious packages."

While there will be plenty of work, the officers will return with some special memories-Officer Capretto says that last year his dog King "met Lady Gaga".
