Suspended Buffalo Police officer Corey Krug headed to court once again on Tuesday to face even more federal civil rights violations.

This latest violation is connected to a case from February 2011, where a man says he too was assaulted by Corey Krug. The man claims he was hit with a flashlight while he was in handcuffs.

Krug once again walked into federal court holding his wife's hand with his lawyer Terry Connors at his side. The suspended Buffalo Police officer pleaded not guilty to this latest charge of excessive force lodged against him by a federal grand jury.

This indictment also includes official charges related to what happened early Thanksgiving morning on Chippewa Street. It was recorded exclusively by a 7 Eyewitness News photographer.

But Connors says this video helps this case and paints Krug as a hard-working, active police officer who worked tough assignments.

"You need to put this in context. There are now three events over a 12-year history with over a thousand arrests. I think that's an important context," Connors said.

Connors says he is preparing to go to trial to defend Krug in front of a jury.
