A SUNY Geneseo student accused of stealing an ambulance and driving it around the village while drunk was found guilty Friday.

Police say 22-year-old Colin Dahlberg stole an ambulance while first responders were dealing with an emergency medical call at Genesee Hall on campus.

Officers found it on South Street, where they also found Dahlberg. Police say he fled on foot when they approached him but was quickly caught. Dahlberg allegedly had a BAC that was more than twice the legal limit.

Following a bench trial, a judge acquitted him of three felony counts, but found him guilty of five misdemeanors, according to the Democrat & Chronicle.

He will be sentenced next Friday.
