Friday Saint Francis High School dedicated their new turf football field to the Polian family. It's now named the "Polian Family Field."

It honors the many accomplishments of former Bills General Manager Bill Polian and his family. Polian's son Brian Polian said it's an honor to be a graduate of the high school and to have a state-of-the-art field for future generations of football players.

"I'm speaking for my mom and dad and my older brother Chris and myself, who attended St. Francis, this place has given so much to us as a family," said Polian.

After the ceremony the University at Nevada football team practiced on the field ahead of their game against the University at Buffalo Bulls on Saturday.

The field is part of a $4 million project that also features a new eight lane track, lighting, scoreboard, fencing, expanded viewing area, parking lots, locker rooms and concession stands.

New restrooms and VIP seating inside and outside are also part of the project.

The Saint Francis football team will take the field on October 2nd when they face Canisius High School at 7 p.m.
