A three-legged rescue dog has a new home.

Buffalo Airport was the meeting place to complete the adoption of Morris, a special needs dog. Maureen Cattieu saved Morris off the streets of Colombia and Luis Balbosa adopted him.

Luis Balbosa loves to adopt special needs dogs because he believes they should be given a loving home.  He lives in Port Orchard, Washington and has four other dogs at home that he takes care of.

Maureen Cattieu is the founder and director of an adoption center in Colombia. She is a Buffalo native that teaches second grade English and also runs Cartagena Paws, a non-profit rescue center in Cartagena, Colombia.

Balbosa came in contact with Carrieu over Facebook and has planned this adoption for eight months.

The adoption agency has been open for four years and has helped save over 250 animals. In Buffalo alone, 40 dogs have been given a home.

Morris and Luis are spending a few days in Buffalo before they make the trip back to Washington.
