Medaille College is closed for the remainder of the day Thursday due to a social media threat.

Representatives from the school tell 7 Eyewitness News that all activities are canceled.

The school issued this statement:

"Today an incident involving a possible threat to Medaille College has required the closing of the campus for the remainder of the day. All classes for November 1 have been cancelled along with extracurricular activities and practices. The College is working with the Buffalo Police to ensure that the campus is safe before reopening. The security of Medaille’s students and staff are the highest priority, therefore it was decided to evacuate the campus in order to ensure that everyone remains safe. More information will follow as it becomes available."

Friday morning, Buffalo Police announced that Dion Morrison, 21, has been charged for making a terroristic threat in connection to Thursday's incident at the college.

Classes will resume on Friday, November 2.
