Seven people were forced out of a home Thursday night, after a fire burned through a building next door.

Firefighters say it could be weeks before they're back inside.

Firefighters were called to a vacant home on Thompson Street, in the city's Black Rock neighborhood, about 10:30 Thursday night.

The fire quickly went to two alarms, meaning nearly 60 firefighters were here to try and keep flames from spreading.

Crews say they were warned about this house before.  Firefighters say they were told there was "suspicious activity in the building."

Investigators are trying to figure out how the fire started.

The house will be knocked down.

The Red Cross is helping the people forced out of the neighboring home.
