In less than one week, not one, but two Presidential hopefuls have visited the University at Buffalo.

Democrat Bernie Sanders was here on Monday and on Thursday, Republican hopeful, Ted Cruz spoke to a rally at the Katharine Cornell Theatre on UB's north campus.

Most of the 300 people who attended the Town Hall style rally were either undecided or committed Cruz supporters.

"I want to see what his tax plans are for the future and abolishing the IRS, what he plans to do after that," said Cruz supporter Christopher Doring.

Cruz not only pitched himself as a political outsider, but as someone who could unify both the Republican Party and the nation as a while.

During his event, Senator Cruz often criticized career politicians and spoke fondly of the Reagan era.  Cruz said he wants to bring the GOP back to those days.

The Texas Senator targeted fellow Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. Despite beating him in the polls, the name of Ohio Governor John Kasich was not mentioned at all.
