Here's two scoops of good news for ice cream lovers in the Northtowns - Nick Charlap's is coming to town.
Nick Charlap's Ice Cream will open tomorrow at 3 p.m. at 2800 Elmwood Avenue near Sheridan in the Town of Tonawanda, in the longtime home of Reid's.
Only ice cream will be available for opening day, but the restaurant says the grill will be fired up over the weekend.
"Many weeks of hard work & dedication have finally brought this landmark ice cream/hot dog stand back to it's community, & with a fresh new look!" says a message on Nick Charlap's Facebook page. "It's very exciting to be a part of the Ken/Ton community. Thank you for having us! We will serve you well."
